I guess I scared a few of you with a biscotti recipe last week, but you really shouldn't let it intimidate you! But I am giving you an easy one this week - no baking involved.
A good friend of mine passed along this recipe - hope she doesn't mind my sharing it with you! It's always a hit, with grownups and kids.
Cookies & Cream Dessert
1 lg. package Oreo cookies
8 oz. Cool Whip
1/2 cup butter
1 cup powdered sugar
8 oz. cream cheese
2 small boxes French vanilla instant pudding
3-1/2 cups milk
Crumble half of the cookies in bottom of 9x13 dish. Cream butter, cheese, and sugar. Make pudding according to box instructions using 3-1/2 cups milk. Combine pudding and sugar mixture; fold in Cool Whip. Pour over cookies; crumble rest of cookies over top.
*Can reduce fat by using low-fat or fat-free cream cheese and/or Cool Whip
That's it - then chill, of course...and the dessert should stay cool, too! I think you should make this recipe over the weekend, but that's me. Could you stop by with some??
Why do you do this to me! I'm drooling...all over myself...
ReplyDeleteVery, very yummy...Thanks for spreading this delicious concoction around!
ReplyDeleteI have company coming in just a little while for the night. We just might have to try this out today. Sound similar to the recipe called "Dirt" I used to make for the kids growing up. I have enjoyed your blog and keep coming back, thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteOh, boy. I absolutley love Oreos. But they are a treat since they are so not good for you. But still I love them....double stuff!! I will have to try this for sure. I'll invite you over (C:

This sounds so wonderful!! Thank you for a great recipe. I will have to try your biscotti one. I make them every Christmas and they are very easy - actually even more easy than regular cookies.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog. Do you live in California? The homes on my post are in the older section of Modesto.

It was too hot for our trip to pan out as I had anticipated! LOL!
