Still on my trip. I am currently in Montana. There are no tea places to visit where I am - too bad!
There is a kind of tea I like to purchase when I'm here. It's Huckleberry Tea - usually a black tea blend with huckleberry flavor. I did see it available online, but can't vouch for any of the places or the tea, so I will let you search out some on your own.
I love huckleberries and have fond childhood memories of them. When I was young, we would stay in a group of cabins with cousins, aunts, and uncles (so much FUN!) in an area that was near a good huckleberry patch. It was mainly the adults that went picking the huckleberries, maybe because they are difficult to pick or maybe because bears love them!
We would have huckleberry pie, huckleberry syrup on pancakes and ice cream, huckleberry jelly, and more. My mouth is watering right now! I really miss that, so I enjoy an opportunity to get that huckleberry flavor.
Now, huckleberries are sold everywhere (around here) in many different products. They even have huckleberry chocolates! Mmmmm... If you get a chance, try some huckleberry tea, or at least something with huckleberries and see what you think. In case you're wondering, the flavor is somewhat similar to a blueberry, though more tart I would say.
Have a blessed, huckleberry tea-filled day!
Have you had huckleberries or huckleberry tea before?
I havent had the tea but I adore huckleberries! i may have to look for it:)
