Welcome back to another Chocolate Friday! The weekend is here - woo hoo! I hope you had a great week and managed to have a little chocolate here and there.
I saw a little chocolate cookbook a couple of weeks ago and had to have it, partly for today's recipe. Once again, I had a duty to try a new recipe for your sakes - LOL!
It turned out yummy (Lisa J., I didn't use your beautiful pecans for this - I'm saving them for pie!) though not as much of a chocolate flavor as I was expecting. Don't get me wrong, I would eat them all just like this - they are delicious! But I used a cheapo hot chocolate mix and I think a nicer, really rich hot chocolate mix would give the nuts the flavor I was dreaming about.

Chocolate Pecans
1/2 cup pecan halves (Are they kidding? That doesn't make near enough - I made a cup just to try it out)
Warm water
Hot cocoa mix
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Soak pecans in water for a few minutes. Drain pecans of excess water but do not dry. Toss pecans in cocoa mix until well coated. Spread on lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake for about 5 minutes or until lightly toasted and crusty.
So simple - you must try it out and experiment with different types of chocolate coatings. You could even post about it and link it up here with Mr. Linky below! Actually, any chocolate post will do - old or new! You can get more info here or take a look at last week for ideas.
Have a fabulous weekend and don't forget to enter my doily giveaway by Sunday evening 11/23!
