It's time for Motivate Me Monday with Sarah Mae at Like a Warm Cup of Coffee. Stop over there for great motivation for your week!
I had planned to write something completely different today, but stopped and took some time to read a devotional, my Bible, and then the book Passionate Housewives Desperate for God (highly recommended by my friend Kim at Homesteaders Heart). Just from what I read in that book this morning, I am motivated to take my homemaking duties that the Lord has called me to do, a little more seriously. And what that means is that I need to get "offline" today and care for my neglected household.
I plan to stay off the computer until this evening. I encourage you to try it too, if you haven't already! Go and tackle some of those chores you've been neglecting. Be motivated and free to do so!
Have a blessed Monday and I will see you - later!
Yeah my friend. I'm glad you are liking the book. I'm on my second time reading it!!
ReplyDeleteBig Laundry Day size hugs to you my sweet friend.
I hope you have a great day my friend! We'll be here when you get back ;)
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, you motivated me. This is going to be hard, I am not going to read or click anything else, and go do that load of laundry and vacuum!
ReplyDeleteI would love to read that book....I have felt the same way, and in the last couple weeks, I have really been trying to focus more on household/family chores, etc. that need done during the day, and it's working; I'm getting a lot done, and it feels great!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea! I know my computer takes up way too much of my valuable time! I'll have to get that book. I've seen it and was wondering if it was good! ~hugs, Rhonda :)
ReplyDeleteI definitely agree with limiting computer time. I have made a real effort to do so in the past couple weeks and it has made such a difference. Having regular hours that I limit myself to really helps, and keep my computer off in between times helps me resist the temptation to jump on for a quick peek.
ReplyDeleteIt is encouraging to hear others finding the joy in getting away, too! Keeps me on the bandwagon.
~Erin
Good for you! I want to read that book...it's on my list of the many I want to read! :)
ReplyDeleteThis (& t.v.) are two things I need to work on more in order to NOT neglect my "jobs" at home and work! Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI hope you were able to tackle those neglected tasks...and maybe take a few quiet moments for your self.
ReplyDeleteStay Cozy, Carrie
