Just to give you a taste...
THE GOOD:
~ Clean, CHEAP cabin
~ Clean, heated outdoor pool
~ Clean restrooms
~ Friendly staff
THE BAD:
~ Pasture smells (AKA manure odors) wafting into the campground
~ Mosquitoes
~ The Brown Pond - didn't get a pic the first time when we saw skin of dead animal floating nearby. Eeeww.
Oh, and you PAY them to ride a paddle boat in the brown pond - LOL!
THE UGLY:
~ Miniature golf course
For free? I would play the ugly golf course. But it costs money to play, thus explaining the lack of "customers" here!
All in all though, it's a good frugal option for an overnight stay!
I'll have more trip posts later in the week. Stop by tomorrow for Tea For Two-sday!

Oh too funny my friend. I wanna see the inside of the little cabin! You know cheap is going to have it's ups and downs! LOL
ReplyDeleteBig let's build a KOA on an old land fill and call it done size hugs to you! LOL
Brown Pond Gross... cabin looks really nice though!
ReplyDeleteThat cabin looks fabulous! the pond not so much! Glad you guys are having a great time!
ReplyDeleteI love a good cheap cabin. I think I'd rather stay somewhere "rustic" than somewhere posh -- it adds to the whole vacation aura (plus makes it that much sweeter to come home). But yeah --- the manure and the brown pool are a bit much. Still, I guess it depends on whether you're vacationing right at the cabin versus doing day-jaunts and coming back to the cabin for swims and board games round the card table. I hope you had a good time.
ReplyDeleteNow that's MY kind of camping!
ReplyDeleteThe cabin and the pool looks great!!
