Ultimate Blog Party 2012
It's just one big party around here! Monday was my 4-year Blogaversary and today (Friday) is my birthday!! It's SO nice of 5 Minutes For Mom to have this huge Ultimate Blog Party just in my honor - LOL!! And I'm glad you stopped by to party with me! :)
Whether you're new here or an old friend, I hope to get to know you a little better! I'm Lisa - child of God, wife for almost 20 years, mother of a soon-to-be 13 year-old son, and quite the Imperfect Homemaker. I like to stop and smell the chocolates in life. Now that doesn't always mean actual chocolate! I'm talking about noticing and appreciating those little blessings in your everyday life. Blessings that come from faith, family, food, friends, and fun!
This is not a food blog, but I do love finding and sharing recipes with all of you! Just check out how long my Recipe Index is now! *Ahem*...you might notice that the biggest sections are Cakes and Cookies & Bars, if that tells you anything. :)
I blog about all sorts of subjects - my son, Encouraging Bloggers, chocolate, Wordless Wednesday, and more. You won't find a niche here! Expect a little bit of everything. Variety is the spice of life, right?!
And just for fun - let's celebrate with a little giveaway! **Giveaway Closed.** It's a gift card for a little place I like...a lot. You might have heard of it. It's called Starbucks. :)
**Giveaway Closed.** Enter to win a $10 Starbucks gift card by leaving a comment on this post and telling me about one of the blessings in your day! This giveaway will be open through 4/20 and the winner will be chosen by a random number generator. Please make sure that I am able to reply by e-mail to your comment or leave your e-mail in the comment in case you win!
If you like to stop and smell the chocolates too, you can subscribe to my blog, follow me on Twitter, or like me on Facebook!
Party on friends and have a blessed day!

Hi, I am visiting from the UBP. We have so many things in common! So nice to meet you!
ReplyDeleteMy blessing for today and every day is being mom to my three beautiful children.
Hi Lisa! Love your place. :o) HAPPY BIRTHDAY~ wow, and you really know how to throw a party!
ReplyDeleteMy blessing for today was planting flowers for my elderly parents this morning. My days of working in the yard that was once my playground are numbered.
Enjoy your special day!
Beth
I'm thankful just to be able to get out of bed each day. My doctors didn't think I would be able to do that, but by God's grace I have proven them wrong every morning since I camr home from the hospital in December,
ReplyDeletePraise the Lord!
I have 8 little blessings that daily make me happy(my children), I do drink about a pot of coffee to help keep me going though.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday! A blessing for me today was my son doing schoolwork without being asked!
ReplyDeleteI love the blessings of being a mother to 4 children.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday and congrats on the blog.
A blessing for me today is the rain. See, I am having a bad attitude about the rain, since I want to get out and start my garden and the kids have outdoor 4-H things to do. But I know that we need the rain. And then when I think about my poor attitude, I am humbled by my selfishness. And that is the blessing I am thinking of today.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday, Lisa!!
Happy Birthday!
ReplyDeleteA blessing in my day is my little 12-month-old brother's silly giggle.... wouldn't trade it for anything :-)
Happy Birthday.
ReplyDeleteSo glad to meet your through the UBP. Happy party day.
Fondly,
Glenda

My blessings are my children. And of course all your nutella recipes. :-)
ReplyDeleteLoved seeing your blog for the first time. My blessing is to see God's love during a difficult journey the past several weeks as I struggled with a massive tumor, severe blood loss, infection, surgery and limited abilities. He was so near during my weakness. Big fan of chocolate so will have to spend some time in your recipe section.
ReplyDeleteblessings,
Pamela (gram)
Happy Birthday Lisa dear!
ReplyDeleteMy blessing of today is being able to talk with my 24 years old and hearing that he is doing well. I prayed for him all day.He is at Naval Academy, graduating in May (Yay!)and had 3 wisdom teeth removed today. Kills me, I can't take care of him. I am thankful he is doing well.
hugs,
manuella
