I'm Lisa and I'm happy to meet you! Glad you stopped by!
While you're here, you should help yourself to some treats! Maybe a Nutella Oatmeal Bar?
Or a slice of Caramel-Brownie Cheesecake?
Now that you've got your goodies {if you prefer a different kind of goodie, grab what you like from my Recipe Index} - sit down, relax, and take a little break from your busy day! That's what I'm here for - or hope to be anyway. I want you to leave here with a smile on your face, refreshed and ready to go back and tackle the next crazy thing on your never-ending list.
So...I'm Lisa - child of God, wife for 20 years, mother
of a 13 year-old son {Ack - a teenager now!}, and an Imperfect Homemaker. I like to stop and smell the chocolates in life. What I mean by that is taking the time to notice and appreciate those little blessings in your everyday life.
Blessings that come from faith, family, food, friends, and fun!
I've been at this little old blog for almost 5 years! In fact, my 5-year Blogaversary is 4/9 - so it's almost like the UBP is a celebration in my honor - LOL! Feel free to check out my About page or my 100 Things list. You won't really find a niche here - I blog about a variety of things - notice the large amount of labels on the sidebar! I'm just getting back to blogging more often - I started a challenge for the month of April to blog every weekday {not too late to join in if you need a nudge to increase blogging}, so I welcome you to stop by every day!
What about you? Do you have a blog? What kinds of blogs do you like to read? What's your favorite dessert? :) Introduce yourself in the comments!
Thanks for coming by! I hope the rest of your day is a blessed one!
Glad to be a part of UBP2013 - you can find more partying blogs, or link up your own at 5 Minutes For Mom!
If you like to stop and smell the chocolates too, you can subscribe to my blog, follow me on Twitter, or like me on Facebook!
Nice party post my friend! Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteI love that I've been with you from almost the beginning. It goes to show that true friendships can happen through the blogosphere.
ReplyDeleteBig I think we should write each others bio just for fun size hugs to you!
Love ya.
Kim
Oh my goodness you're making me hungry! Stopping by from the Ultimate Blog Party!
ReplyDeleteLooks "delicious"! Linda @ http://thehopefulhome.blogspot.com/
ReplyDeleteOK...that cheesecake looks amazing!!!
ReplyDeleteStopping by from the UBP...

ps. My husband likes making desserts and he loves nutella. Oh no ...
You had me at "Nutella!"
ReplyDeleteOK, please don't post those pictures unless you plan on delivering a slice to my door. :) YUM! Found you through UBP and I'll be following you on facebook now.
ReplyDeleteHi Lisa! I'm Amy. Chocolate chip cookies. They are my favorite, especially the ones my husband makes! He is an amazing baker! (lucky me) I've been blogging since 2006. Like you, I blog about pretty much anything and everything. It was hard to pick a linky topic over at UBP13. I went with religious because my faith pretty much permeates through everything I do. I look forward to spending time at your blog. Wish I could taste those brownies right about now, guess I'll have to settle for the fruit cookie (yes, chocolate chip) pizza my daughter is busy making. Yum! Amy
ReplyDeleteCaramel Brownie Cheesecake, oh my! Stopping by from UBP13 and loved the dessert pics. Yum yum!
ReplyDeleteYes, I love to blog. I've finally found my unique voice and after creating three (or so) blogs, migrating from Blogger to a self-hosted site and testing out all kinds of themes and frameworks, I finally created a comfortable "home". I share my spiritual journey and try to capture God's blessings by taking hundreds of photographs. I love to write so blogging gives me instant gratification - the ability to see my thoughts "in print"! My favorite dessert? Anything with chocolate usually makes me happy :)
ReplyDeleteYour recipes look wonderful, Lisa, and I will have to check out more of them. I found you on UBP and want to invite you to my new blog hop starting May 3rd on Bible Love Notes.
ReplyDeleteBless you,
Gail
Hi Lisa, visiting from UPB. I almost stopped at the cheesecake - tried to eat it off the page, but couldn't.
ReplyDeleteNice to meet you! Can you just send me both of those desserts? Ha! I have been blogging since 2008 and love it. I am glad to find your blog during the UBP13 hop. It is fun meeting new bloggers. I hope you have a blessed week!
ReplyDeleteHi Lisa! If you click back into my blog, you will see that I also love chocolate! I have been blogging for about 6 years now. It has been a great way of breathing and reflecting and bursting out excitement. In other words, it's just a part of my life now. I will certainly be back. I love recipes, inspiration and friendship. (Not to mention, anything caramel so I think I'd like to get the recipe for the caramel chocolate cheesecake. Happy blogversary to you. I'm here from UBP13.
