It's a tip I learned a long time ago, though I don't remember where. So let me help you fix your page ~ by showing you how to put the link to your blog or business right in your Short Description above your About link on your main page! Please don't make me click on About {and not everybody even knows to do that} and look around until I find a link. Most people won't even go to that trouble. You may be missing out on making connections with all sorts of people! Make it easy to click on over!
Here's what mine looks like - I highlighted the link:
Um, yes that is a pic of a white buffalo on the right side. What were you expecting...chocolate? :)
OK, I know you want to fix this immediately!! Here's how:
- Click the dropdown menu next to "Edit Page" at the top of your Admin Panel.
- Click "Update Page Info".
- Look for "Short Description" on the left side, then click "Edit" to the right of your description box.
- Add your link somewhere in your description {it will automatically show up as a link after you save it}.
- Now click "Save Changes" and you're set!!
Did you do it? Did you already know this? Do you have any questions?
And do you want to make sure that you're seeing everything that your favorite FB pages post {you know, like my Stop and Smell the Chocolates page!}? Here's one way to do that:
- Hover over the "Liked" button.
- Make sure that "Show in News Feed" is clicked.
- Click on "Settings".
- Click "All Updates".
OK, that's about all the lecturing this non-expert can handle! I do hope that these tips are helpful for you! Feel free to share this post as I'm pretty sure there are many people out there who haven't seen these tips.
Got any other helpful FB tips to share?

Have a blessed day friends!
I've often wondered why FB even does that whole not letting you see all the updates and makes you do the work to "choose" to see them even though you're the one that "liked" the page in the first place so you could get the updates. Sheesh!
ReplyDeleteBig I should invent another social media called "Mug Tablet" and become a millionaire size hugs to you.
Thanks for the tips my friend.
Love ya!
Well, that was a "duh" moment for me. I never thought about putting the link in the short description so it was visible there. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteYou know, I wish there was a way to do this on business sites. It should show up under the contact info, but it does not.
