Hi! I'm Lisa! Welcome to my blog! It's nice to meet you!
I started my blog back in April of 2008 and am somewhat amazed that I'm still here! I do enjoy blogging and reading blogs, though the amount of time I have to devote to either one changes frequently as Life changes. And my content changes a bit from time to time, though it has always included a variety of subjects, one of which is CHOCOLATE! :)
Before we go any further, I want to make sure that you are never intimidated by a pretty picture of a chocolate dessert or tea party setting or Fall decor. Things are not usually picture perfect in my home!! In fact, I usually look more like this picture:
Maybe some of you can relate? LOL!! I hope so!
What you will find on my blog is...me. I don't claim to have expertise in any one area and am only here to share my thoughts with my friends...you. I am a child of God, a wife for over 20 years, and a stay-at-home mom of 1 amusing son. I am conservative and love to laugh {see - they are not mutually exclusive!}. I am an imperfect homemaker who is striving to improve. I like girly tea parties but also like to camp in the dirt. I hope that you will find something in common with me and enjoy my recipes so you'll stop by again and again!
On my blog, you might find a great chocolate recipe, a funny story, an occasional serious post, a moment to share my faith, a lovely photo, and more. I do appreciate my readers and welcome your comments, questions, and suggestions! When I say "Stop and smell the chocolates" I want you to take a moment out of your busy day to appreciate the blessings surrounding you {there are always blessings to be found, though sometimes they are partially hidden}! Hopefully you will find a bit of refreshment from my posts and get a couple minutes of stress-relief while you're here! And hopefully I won't annoy you too much with my excessive use of exclamation points and love of smiley faces!!! :) :)
Besides posting here at Stop and Smell the Chocolates, I can be found occasionally guest posting here and there around the blogosphere. If you'd like more information about me, you can look at my complete Blogger profile and read my list of 100 Things.
Thanks for joining me!
Lisa :)
